The new Mercedes-Benz SL 2013

The Mercedes extended details and official photos of its new roadster SL 2013 model year, which was designated R321. Its world premiere will be held in January at the International Auto Show in Detroit in 2012, and sales will start next spring.

As previously reported, to achieve weight reduction was due to extensive use of aluminum in car design. And out of it is made not only the body but most of the chassis. It is also a positive effect on the rigidity of the assembly. The frame windshield and trunk lid are made of steel.

The interior of the SL was also in the style of the SLK and the SLS, and the basic equipment includes a multimedia center with the possibility of Internet access, navigation and DVD-player, and multicontour seats with ventilation. Optionally, you can order the leather upholstery of all interior panels.

 The roof rises and falls roadster in less than twenty seconds, with two options available to buyers of its execution. The upper section can be either glass or equipped with a system of Magic Vision Control, which allows to change the transparency level with the button.

The base engine for the Mercedes-Benz SL 2012 is a 3.5-liter petrol V6, which is set to the version of the SL 350. It produces 306 hp and 370 Nm of torque at the peak, and its average consumption is 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers. Although the engine was slightly "weaker" than its predecessor, due to reduced weight gains roadster with a hundred places in 5.9 seconds versus 6.2 seconds earlier.

European prices on SL 2012 up 93,534 euros for the version of the SL 350 and 117 096 euros - for the SL 500.

Also, customers will be offered a version of Edition 1, which will release a limited edition. It will be painted in an exclusive silver color, and equipment will include 19-inch AMG, audio Harman Kardon Logic7, inserted into the interior of wood and black leather upholstery.
